"My faction will offer nothing, for I support the defense of Rebma."Jerod replies flatly. "I have already done what is needed to ensure the war ends. Moire has fled and the usurper will assume the throne, which means the other side is now my side. Which means that the Guard stands by my orders, the city is ready and waiting and the usurper's forces also stand ready to defend the kingdom, against you.

"There will be no more war here."

Jerod:

"I learned early that the quickest way to learn about a people are to study how they fight, or do not, in some cases. The simplest tool can speak volumes."

Celina:

Hannah glances at Corwin and sighs. "Sometimes people get blinded to what's right in front of them, and all the rational in the world won't make them see.Most times, there is a path around, you've just got to find it."

Celina

Celina goes to the cabinet to find something stronger to drink. "I shall even hope to keep Moire in one piece while you are gone."

Vere:
