Raven

"One more thing, before you go back to resting - anything I need to know about the grub around here?" She smirks. "Not that I'm a suspicious soul, mind, but I didn't exactly volunteer for this." She waves a hand in the direction of the door.

Raven

"It's a gun and it'll blow your head off if I fire it at you," the Harbormaster explains.

"Ah." Raven considers this for a moment, frowning. "And if I stand down, are you just going to kill me anyway?"

Conner

"Her Majesty comported herself well on the battlefield." Conner comments. "I must make a note to have a poem or song composed. Its good for morale and historians love them." Conner grins. "I think I'll leave out Huon's elbowing me in the face though. That's the prerogative of the winning side after all."

Solange

Solange narrows her eyes and leans forward. "Wait...Brij? Julian's granddaughter? Holy crap, do you mean _Folly's mother_? DOES FOLLY KNOW?"

Celina

Somehow, the loud engine masks the emotions in her voice, but Celina feels the strange eddies of violence and sexual heat there, "Moire might have planted me in Khela's camp to be taken in. That's how far she might be thinking ahead. I need to know what she's doing in Paris. We look until the King changes his mind." Celina shakes her head. How strange a creature she is now: fueled on rejection and love and anger and lies.

Ossian

"Two things: Being my daughter is not being safe. And I do this for her, and for the family's safety. Not for you."

Garrett

"It was lots of images and a lot of force. And feelings. Strong ones. Kind of hard to explain. There was this wall of voices, people I knew, beating me down." He shrugs, realizing now why people rarely explain their own walks. "Doesn't sound like much, but I reckon you had to be there. Then I started remembering things. Things that people said that gave me strength. You were one of 'em." He smiles and squeezes her hand again.

Lilly

Lilly looks at him for a long a moment. "Well it would be quite difficult for father and I to open up and express our feelings to one another with you looking on..." she says while managing a neutral expression. "Because you know how sentimental we both can be."

Silhouette

“Ettorio,” she says in a motherly tone. “You ask the impossible. My work is of arcane origin –manipulating the laws of Draig-talamh to my will. This cannot be taught to the Unenlightened. Teaching you Mechanika at this point would be as effective as explaining Fermat's principle to a cave bat.”

Robin

"Gahhhh!" Robin hisses at him in frustration. Stupid men! Stupid words! Stupid men with words! When will she learn?! She should've gone with her strengths and just hit him right away. Instead of trying to *reason* with him. Men! Words! Pfui!

Robin (there are so many!)

“Things were... tense before. But since Daeon died? I saw the light in Dad’s eyes. He’s openly declared war. And now we’ve trotted two Pattern blades, three sorcerers, at least six wielders of Heritage and who knows what else into her influence and rattled it all around some. I’d be pissed if it was me.”

“Sooooo I suspect that the Dragon is a place-being who is about to rise against Arden.”

Hannah

"I thought you didn't want us to take the Mark so as to move freely in society. I never thought there might be another reason. So I have stood at the center of the universe, Papa, and felt it align around me, and I have seen the bonds that connect every thing and seen through the eyes of my ancestors," she explains, tearing up, "but if what I also did in pride was open a gateway to the people, then I shall grieve the mistake the rest of my life."

Jerod

On this day, the quality of Prince is defined by rage and Jerod fulfills that requirement completely.

The moment stretches a second, two, then three. To the outside observer, it is moments, to Jerod, it is near infinity as he focuses on the card, working to keep the screaming, mind-numbing anger at bay. It is perhaps fortunate that the battle was so recent, that tiredness is still there to keep the emotion from being unstoppable. As it is, it still threatens reason, though Jerod is still a Prince, and nothing rules the Princes for long.

"Do not undertake that action again." Jerod says, the first few words hoarse from the control he has imposed. "Ever."
