than coffee, cigarettes, and sitting on the couch." Folly smiles
a little and digs around in her pocket for the money, biting
back a dark joke about dumping their third royal in the forest
as she hands it over.

There is not even a trace of worry in his voice, even though he has just implicitly threatened Corwin's children which in itself is a veritable death sentence. Instead, there is something else, a fear that he may have to do something he wishes to avoid at nearly any cost, that of harming family. "I don't want it to go down this way Uncle. If there is a way for this not to happen, and I cannot see it, then I would ask your help in this."
